With the current state of the economy in the United States and elsewhere, many people earn less and spend more and more on daily products and services, so it is important to find the best value when it comes to repair and service. And of course there is a tendency to ignore the time and hassle of bringing a vehicle back multiple times for repair. I once had a truck that had an air conditioner that just didn't work. The drive belt continued to fly or disintegrate. They would fix it and before we got home, the same thing would happen again. The dealer replaced the entire AC unit three or four times because it was under warranty, but they never found the problem. One would think that they would realize that the problem was somewhat different from the unit itself.
